Activated charcoal or carbon is a type of material created from several different carbon sources such as coconuts, coal, and wood. The manufacturers cook these carbon sources at high temperatures around 1,800 degree Fahrenheit, which then produces a chemical reaction.

The chemical reaction eliminates the harsh compounds, replacing them with good compounds. The surface area, consisting of tiny pores, also expands. Absorption occurs, and attracts and traps substances on the surface.

After it cools down, you get activated charcoal. Make activated charcoal part of your beauty routine to receive the following benefits:

1. Treats Acne

If you suffer from acne, you can use activated charcoal to reduce inflammation, eliminate germs, remove impurities, and keep pores clean. Add half of activated charcoal in a bowl, add one teaspoon of aloe vera, and one drop of tea tree essential oil.

Use your fingers to mix them together to create a paste. Apply it on your face and keep away from eyes and mouth. Leave the mask on for five minutes and use warm water to rinse it off followed by cold water. Apply this mask on your face for two times each week.

2. Removes Impurities

Activated charcoal removes impurities from your skin such as heavy metals. You need to add organic rose water into the activated charcoal to create a paste. If you don’t have rose water, you can add water instead. Apply the paste on your face and leave it on for a few minutes. Rinse it with warm water followed by cold water.

3. Whitens Dark Underarms

Shaving creams cause dark underarms. You can use activated charcoal to lighten your underarms. Activated charcoal works as an exfoliator. It removes impurities and eliminates the dark dead skin cells on your underarms.

Remove activated charcoal from two capsules in a dish, add two tablespoons of organic honey, and one teaspoon of lemon juice. Use your hands to mix the ingredients together to create a paste. Apply the paste on both of your underarms and leave it on for ten minutes. Rinse it. You need to apply the paste at least one time each week.

4. Balances Oily Skin

If you have oily skin, you can use activated charcoal to absorb the excess oil from your skin and bring them to the surface. Remove activated charcoal from one capsule and add it into a bowl. Add two teaspoons of organic rose water and apply it on your skin daily. Leave it on your skin for a few minutes and then rinse it off with warm water and then cold water.

5. Eliminates Acne Scars and Blemishes

Activated charcoal gets rid of acne scars and blemishes. It removes deal skin layered over your acne scars and reveals new skin underneath. You can create an activated charcoal scrub by combining the powder from one capsule of activated charcoal with one teaspoon of bentonite clay, few drops of water, and 1/2 teaspoon of lemon juice.

Mix to create a paste. Apply it on your face and rinse it off with warm water and then cold water. Moisturize your face. Apply it at least two times each week.

If you want healthy and glowing skin, activated charcoal is the answer to your wish!
