Do natural deodorants work? Celebrities such as Cameron Diaz, Jessica Alba, and Gwyneth Paltrow have popularized the trend of using natural deodorants instead of conventional over the counter deodorants.
Even though most of you have probably heard about the natural alternative, you may still be reluctant to use it. You do not know whether you want to use it or not. You are unsure if it would work or not.
If you are considering using it and are in the market for natural deodorant, here are a few tips to follow:
1. Test Out the Natural Deodorant at Home
You need to use the natural deodorant at home before you head out wearing it to see if it really works masking the sweat. Put the deodorant on and work out at home such as cleaning the house, running here and there after your kids, or doing anything at home that will make you sweat.
If you sweat while wearing it, it doesn’t work and you can switch to another natural product and test it. Once you find the natural deodorant that works for you, stick to it.
2. Do Not Immediately Think It Won’t Work for You
If you make up your mind about the natural deodorant not working for you, you will be hesitant to try it. You need to keep an open mind about it. You have to try it before you make up your mind about it. You never know. It might just work for you.
3. Keep Trying Different Natural Deodorants
As we previously pointed out, you need to keep trying out different natural deodorants, until you find something that works for you. Just as switch to different beauty products, you need to do the same with natural deodorants. There are so many brands out there. You are bound to find something that works for you.
If you do not want to purchase an over the counter natural deodorant, you can create a natural deodorant using these ingredients and following these steps:
- 3 tbsps of coconut oil
- 3 tbsps of baking soda
- 2 tbsp of shea butter
- 2 tbsps of organic cornstarch
- Few drops of your favorite essential oil
- In a double boiler, melt shea butter and coconut oil over medium heat.
- Remove it from heat and add corn starch and baking soda
- Add a few drops of your favorite essential oil
- Pour it in a glass container and place it in a fridge
- Allow it to cool down and put it in an old deodorant stick
You might need to keep the natural deodorant you create in the fridge in the summer, as it may melt.
You have the option to create your own natural deodorant or buy it from the store. One of the reasons why natural deodorant has become a hit among people is due to its all-natural ingredients. If you experience an allergic reaction from conventional over the counter deodorants, you should try using a natural deodorant.
