Fad diets do not work, but you already knew that. If you know that already, why do you still try them? Okay, so, you’re saying that the many fad diets you have tried in the past, you have tried them in the hope that at least one of them works!
Unfortunately, you are left disappointed with the lack of results time and time again! They will NEVER work and you know why? Because they aren’t meant to work. Here is why fad diets keep failing us:
1. Short-term Results
Fad diets and long lasting results are two things you will never hear and if you do, it is just to convince you to try it, and you do! Their convincing powers are strong! You will lose weight on a fad diet, but as soon as you get back to your old, regular eating habits, all the weight you lost will come back. It missed you! Say goodbye to your excess weight for good by eating healthy and working out.
2. Do Not Change Your Behaviors
One of the reasons why fad diets are such a hit among people is because they do not tell people to change their eating behavior for good, but only until you have lost weight on this diet of empty promises. If you want to lose weight and keep it off, you need to modify your behaviors.
3. Promise Too Much
“You will lose up to ten pounds in one week!” When we hear that, we jump on the latest fad diet bandwagon. Here’s what you miss hearing though — the word “up to.” What they are actually saying is that even if you lose one to two pounds each week, you lost weight and in their book, that’s a success.
4. Weight Decreases, but Fat Remains
You might be able to lose a lot of weight on the fad diet, but you do not lose any fat. All you are losing is water and muscle if you continue to do the diet. A diet that doesn’t make you lose the stubborn fat is a diet you do not want to rely on.
5. Unhealthy Diet
You are losing weight, which is good, but what about your health? It’s deteriorating! The main focus of fad diets is weight loss. They can care less about your well-being and health. A diet that makes you lose weight so rapidly can’t be good for your health at all. These diets do not even focus on nutrition, at least most of them neglect that part of the diet.
These types of fad diets deplete your body of several minerals and vitamins. You can also take supplements if you do not receive sufficient amounts of minerals and vitamins through your diet, just do not depend on fad diets to give them to you.
