Do you want to be healthy and active just like a morning riser? Where should you begin? You can begin by adopting the habits of healthy and active morning people. They are in shape and in good health for a reason. They are early risers who wake up in the morning and eat right, and you can be one of them too! Just follow these six habits of healthy and active morning people:
1. Start Preparing the Night Before
Before calling it a night, you need to prepare your food, lay out your clothes, and put everything you need in your gym bag. When you wake up in the morning to hit the gym, you will eat your food, wear your clothes, grab your gym bag, and head out at the door.
2. Set Multiple “Motivational” Alarms
You need to set three alarms on your mobile phone. Set the first alarm 15 minute early, labeling it “Yes, I Can!” Set the second alarm and label it “Yes, I Will!” Set the third alarm, labeling it “Yes, I Am Doing It!” You can label your alarms to whatever saying that motivates you to get up early in the morning. You can label it with your own, personal sayings or a motivational quote.
3. Be an Extra, Extra Early Morning Riser
If you sleep early, you can wake up early. You can wake up as early as 3 a.m. in the morning depending on the time you need to go for your exercise class. If you like to meditate in the morning, and follow it with breakfast, relaxation, and shower, wake up at a time you can achieve all of those things.
4. Always Start with Water
Begin your morning with a glass of water. When you sleep, your body begins to dehydrate. Keep a glass of water next to your bed on the bedside table. When you wake up in the morning, reach for it and drink it. You should drink water throughout the day. You can even flavor the water by adding a few drops of fresh lemon juice to it. Lemon will detox and cleanse your body, eliminating germs. Always have a water bottle handy.
5. Always Eat Something
You need to start your mornings with a little snack such as a banana or an apple. You can even drink caffeine in the morning such as placing frozen dark chocolate espresso in the freezer the night before and taking out when you wake up.
6. Listen to Fast Music
You need to listen to fast and energizing music that puts you in the mood. If you are on your way to exercise class or are jogging around your neighborhood or in the park in the morning, you can listen to music that helps you get going.
Out of all of these habits, the most important habit to adopt is staying positive and never giving up! It might be difficult to wake up in the morning the first few days, but with a little effort and determination, everything gets a little easier.
